Structural Pest Facility Training Center
A Structural Pest IPM facility/training center has been recently built at the WSU Puyallup extension. It is the first training center in the nation that has purposely introduced wood destroying organisms, which includes carpenter ants and termites, to aid in the training of home and pest inspectors.

Home Inspector Licensing Requirements
Previously, home inspectors did not need to have any licensing other having to meet the states requirements to be pest certified. Requirements for the licensing of home inspectors will begin July 1, 2009. Governor Gregoire signed Senate Bill 6606 into law requiring that all home inspectors be licensed in Washington. To learn more about the bill you can check out the website at www.dol.wa.gov/business/homeinspectors

Recycle Reusable Items
As many of you know, we feel it is important to recycle unwanted, useable items to those in need.  I keep a list of wants/needs in my daily folder for easy reference.  If you have a need and want to be added to the list, just let us know.  If you have any good, useable items such as appliances, cabinets, building materials that you wish to get rid of please call to see if we have someone on our waiting list who would be interested or give us an opportunity to find it a good home.  If we don't find a taker we can direct you to good needy organizations that may be willing to come and pick it up from you.  Your donations are greatly appreciated and may just save you the effort and expense of hauling the items to the land fill.

Here are a few sites worth checking out if you want to help others reduce the items that could otherwise go to land fills.

Purchase Homes for Relocation
Believe it or not, there is a website where you can purchase 1, 2, 3 story homes, cottages, and more that need to be relocated and the purchase price includes moving the home to your property for unbelievable prices.  Check it out.    http://www.nickelbros.com/faqhouse.html

2good2toss.com

Give Thanks - Remember our troops -If you go to this free web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com   you can pick out a thank you card, Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

Safe travels with family and friends.
